Working a high-stress job can increase your risk of heart attack or death from heart disease, according to a new study published in The Lancet [NYDailyNews.com].

Researchers tracked the job stress levels of nearly 200,000 people with no history of heart problems for an average of seven and half years. They found that people with more demanding work lives (excessive workload, time pressures, and no decision-making power) were 23 percent more likely to suffer from a heart attack or death from coronary heart disease.
