Did you know? #iron #blood


One pint of human blood contains 250 milligrams of iron. An average sized human body contains around 10 pints of blood. = 250 x 10 = 2500 milligrams of iron. So the human bloodstream contains approximately 2.5 grams of iron. This does not account for iron outside the bloodstream which is about 1.5 grams. Total Iron in a normal adult is about 4 grams
